This will be my theme for Friday's.
We all know, Friday is everyone's favorite day of the week. It is the anticipation of the weekend, no matter how crazy a weekend one might have in store. People in general, are just nicer on Friday's. There seems to be a skip in my step on Friday's that is not there on the dreaded Monday's.
So, even though it is around noon...let's just pretend (wink, wink) that I have a wonderful glass of Merlot in my hand.
The things that stick in my mind from the past week are, of course, the horrible "terrorist attack" (that is what I am calling, because that is what it was) in Arizona. Oddly, I was chatting with my mother, on the phone. She is in Arizona and she was telling me she was just getting ready to go to Safeway. Now, she lives in Northern Phoenix area, I just thought it was weird that she would say that. She loves her Safeway, like I love my Publix! It was a horrible event, that was completely senseless! We live in a free country, or so I thought, OK, don't get me started...we need to keep our Wine (Whine) Friday's polictical free!
The other thing that is bothering people, is the fact that the Horoscope thing is all changed. What the heck is up with that! Clearly, it is very disturbing for a lot of people. Maybe, it is simply making their stars get all out of line! I admit, I do read my Horoscope occasionally...but I don't live my life by it, nor would I date/marry anyone because of their "sign". Not that I am looking to date anyone...that wouldn't be a very nice thing to do to Eddis!
It was a slow current events week at the Merchi household because I was suffering from the stomach flu much of the week. I will try better next Friday.
