...you ask! Well, let me tell you! Hawkeye football...this last weekend was a bye week for the Hawks, a weekend of rest. I am sure Sir Kirk did not let our boys rest. So, what do the rest of us do...well, we watch other college football teams. Alabama was knocked off by the Gamecocks...well, you see, we beat those Gamecocks a few years back.
Eddis and I celebrated (if you can call it that) our 22 years of wedded bliss. We went to dinner, where, we drank WAY too many yummy martinis and I ate way too much red meat. My system does not tolerate red meat that well anymore. Bummer because I love me a good bone-in-ribeye! We went for a little family drive on Sunday that took us to the drag racing track..YES, you got it! Of all places, I really had to watch myself, I would burst out laughing and than remember the people around me were really serious about this sport. You see, anyone can go down the track. I snapped a few pictures...one was of a station wagon around 1970 drag racing what everyone calls "ricers". It is safe to say the family truckster didn't win that one! We headed to the apple orchard. I really wanted to pick our own apples but upon arriving we receive a phone call from our friends...let's just say for the same price you grab a bag and go home, because Eddis was "thirsty" and needed to head to the neighbor establishment with the so called caller!
Today, Monday....well, got nothing! Pilates was not so much fun today. Cardio tomorrow! Lots going on this week. Saturday, we are having a little tailgate for the Iowa game...we are calling Ann Arbor in Bettendorf. We are going to bring the RV home and set everything up in the driveway. It is going to be such a beautiful day and to be outside will be great. We have a wonderful spot in our basement but with the weather being so nice it will be wonderful to be outside. For all our die hards...which there are a lot, will stick around for the Ohio State game at Wisconsin...GO BADGERS!!!!!
