6 More Days...

and we will sit on the 45 yard line in historic Kinnick Stadium, for the kick-off of the 2010 Iowa Football Season. 

I am a cradle Hawkeye, as my children....we laugh that our children have been attending Iowa football games since before they were born!

We FINALLY have MaryElizabeth pumped about going to football this year. 

 

Come on Hawks gives us a good season without the heart pounding "come back from behind"!

We have had a great week...ALL the kids love school...Ted is having a good time and is feeling better at school...he did come home yesterday to watch "the fights".  Several of the "fighters" train here locally or have at one time...so, the college guys...have such a connection. 

The RV is cleaned and ready to go...the only thing left to do is fill it with all the "goodies".  That will be done Thursday. 

Nick has started fall baseball and is loving it.  Jumped out of bed this morning to go to practice.  Eddis is the assistant coach...he was planning on hitting some "hard" grounders to the kids this morning.  We laughed at that one!

We have had fabulous weather this past week....THIS is my favorite time of year!

Lovin' Life

When you are given lemons....make....Lemon Drop Martinis!!!!   YUM!  You know there is little thing I like to call Karma....heard of it?  Or, you could say...don't mess with Eddis...he doesn't get "messed up" in drama too much but when he does WATCH OUT!

Well, it is a wonderful thing.  Believe me, it works. 

I don't complain because I know I basically, have a really good life.  No one's life is perfect but we have it pretty good in our little neck of the woods. 

Working in Pre-K today...love those kiddos....they are so much fun!

MaryElizabeth got a hold of Ted's camera....needless to say she went picture CRAZY!!!  She has some talent.  I found several I love, find hilarious, and realized she has some real staging talent in her future!

I can't believe the excessiveness of my house...rooms we don't use...don't even go in them...so, this was my real...realization that I NEED a smaller house!

Ya...another room we don't use...oh, wait...that is the kitchen....YES, I am try to use it a few times a week.  I cooked up a storm tonight...made a wonderful meal...chicken breast with grilled tomato and melted fresh mozzarella, that was just beginning brown....it was delish...but the wonderful healthy meal was lost on my family!

And So They Say.....

...men are from Mars!!!!  REALLY, sometimes, I'm thinking it is more like not even in the Milky Way!   When I say, "stop yelling at me, stop cussing at me"....all I hear...."this the way I talk, I'm not yelling".....Well, let's just chalk this up to....ya, when you find out...let me know!  He is busy getting "that there RV" ready for the big upcoming Hawkeye Football Season...YES...that needs to be capital letters, in case you were wondering...because it is not something you can hold..not really, literally...but we hold them in our hearts!  So, he is under stress...and he takes it out on ME!!!!  That's OK...we will laugh about it later!  See, thats how we roll!

This past week, we moved our baby or rather our first born, to Iowa City.  Yes, it was hard and yes, I cried!  Everything, seems pretty good, he has a lot of friends there and other places.  Nothing like looking into their lives on good 'ole Facebook!

The younger two are in school....Hooray!!!!!  I wasn't ready for it, until they were fighting like Mr. and Mrs. Costanza....you know the ones, from Seinfeld!  Let me tell you, they are no fun to live with!

Back to the gym I go on Monday...oh wait, that is tomorrow...so, back to the gym I go tomorrow!  I am so ready!!!!
