We started our Easter weekend with a trip to the lake house. I was fun. Amy and I did a lot of shopping...gloomy wet weather equals lots of shopping. At one point it was raining so hard we couldn't leave Marshall's. The guys worked on the deck and changing out lights. It is really looking great.
We made our long trek home Saturday night, getting home about midnight. We are sure it will not take that long next time, we were pulling a very heavy trailer and took a new way...Little Miss Garmin Girl had us going through neighborhoods and back roads!
After we got home I had Easter basket's to put together. I finally collapsed into bed about 1:30. Thankfully, my mother gave us a wake up call at 9:45 or we would have slept right through church! We went to Mass at the Kahl Home, boy, was that an experience. At one point, I leaned over to my sister in law, Lourie and said, "I expect Whoopie to come out of the side of the alter and really get this Mass going"! The darling nuns were singing and playing instruments. It was painfully, lovely. All the residents had bells, some were snoring and nurses and aids kept taking residents in and out of Mass for various reasons.
We went to my brother's house for Easter dinner and some Master's watching. Sadly, my guy, Kenny Perry, didn't win...in a sudden death match.
During dinner, the conversation at the "kids" table was hilarious. The kids kept telling "mama" jokes. My favorite was, "your Mama is so fat, when she steps on the scale she sees her phone number."
Today, is the kind of day for staying home and relaxing. I am not going to make it to Pilates today...too many things to do. I will make it the rest of the week. I hate when I miss.
